Diane Botwin, Managing Partner

Diane founded Botwin Commercial Development in 1986 with her parents as a property management company. Thirty years later, it has expanded its services to include development and leasing and still operates as a family business. Diane’s focus is to provide neighborhood-sensitive commercial development. She is dedicated to sustainable, environmentally friendly design, often incorporating native prairie grasses, lots of natural light and planted roofs into her properties. She enjoys working with small businesses and entrepreneurs, mentoring them and providing additional resources whenever possible.

In the community, Diane is a strong supporter of the arts. Specifically, she supports the Kansas City arts community by providing her space when available pro-bono for art shows. She also commissions local artists like Jim Woodfill, Marcie Miller Gross and Anne Lindberg to incorporate their visions into buildings and is a docent at the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art. Diane has served on many charity boards and volunteered at organizations that include reStart, The Arts Council of Johnson County, Jewish Federation of Greater Kansas City, Pembroke Hill School, Jewish Vocational Service of Kansas City, Crossroads Community Association and Synergy Services.

Diane holds a BFA in music from Newcomb College at Tulane University and a law degree from the University Of Missouri Kansas City School of Law.
