WALDO BUILDING

The Waldo Building arose from a disaster. In 2007, the previous building burnt down due to an errant space heater. This next iteration of small-scale, mixed-use development is a contemporary approach, tending toward experimentation (a planted roof, solar panels, exterior/interior blending). Instead of a falsified nod to the superficially nostalgic, the Waldo Building gets at the heart of Waldo—a blurry, wild amalgamation of people, activities, buildings, and aesthetics.
