WESTMORELAND BUILDING

The Westmoreland Building is defined by its plurality, housing hair salons, soap stores, insurance offices, Korean restaurants, and florists. Botwin updated the mixed-use commercial building in 2004, turning a previously unused exterior space in the center of the building into a common area courtyard for all of the tenants. They also commissioned artist Jim Woodfill to design a lighting installation called Trilux that uses radio transmissions as inputs to modulate the luminosity of the bulbs.
